The name of a local school always gives me pause. UMUC. University of Maryland University College. You’d think with all of the great minds available to academia a better name would be chosen. Everytime I hear it I feel the need to scratch my head. How do they classify their programs? Program of Business Program Department? Department of Music Department Program. School of Education School Program?
I just love it because the acronym is U-MUCK! LOL!
How about a cheer for Norfolk University?
“We don’t DRINK!”
“We don’t SMOKE!”
“Norfolk, NORFOLK!”
It sounds funny, if you yell it out loud, and pronounce Norfolk correctly.
