We are all in luck everyone. It seems to be the rage to pay a lot of money for ugly these days. Have you been to the mall lately? There is a ton of ugly going on in all the stores. Ugly purses, ugly shoes, ugly clothes…you name it, it’s ugly. Amazingly, prices are strong as ever. Go figure. And here I thought things would have to look good to command a high price.
Now is the time to act people! Don’t sit on the sidelines and let this opportunity pass you by. It’s not every day you can unload ugly and convince others to pay you good money in return. If it’s ugly people want, I can deliver. My house has a stash of ugly clothes, pictures, trinkets, etc that I haven’t had the heart to pass off on Goodwill. It just didn’t seem right to donate ugly stuff. Who would have thought holding on to these atrocities would end up being a financial blessing. Ebay, here I come. The time is ripe to start my own online ugly store. I can already smell the money that will be coming in. I will warn you though, don’t expect a return policy if you buy from my store of ugly things. There is no way in heck I’m taking any of it back. If you think you might change your mind and want to get rid of the ugly, you’d better stick to the mall stores when making your purchases.

I just love the articles you have written! This afternoon I decided to read through your postings and the comments. I can imagine the wheels in your head turning and the look on your face while you are writing. Lisa is the only person I know who has knowledge on any topic! Sometimes I try to stump you, but no luck….YET!
What I enjoy the most about your articles is your consideration of others feelings and getting people to see the “other side of the coin” which is delivered with humor and wit. BTW I am funnier than you!! ha ha Love ya Sis!
Oh my goodness! The Coach Queen as finally found time to post a comment on my Blog! Ladies and gentlemen, the above is none other than my dear friend featured in “Don’t Tough The Coach!”
Shauntay, I can think of a few topics I have no knowledge on…the function of the epiglottis, the flight path of migratory birds, the actual meaning of all the scary ingredients we read on the side of the Milky Way candy bar. See, I don’t know everything. I do know about several things because, as I’m sure you would point out when given the chance, I’m nosey, nosey, nosey.
Love ya hun and glad you stopped by.
Lisa, I was at Ala Moana Mall last month and was appalled at all the ugly handbags… IN the pricey stores!! That they cater to a lot of Japanese tourists explains some of it, but frankly, much of it can be attributed to just plain LACK of good taste by these designers.
If you want to see a really funny blog’s take on the abominable things people wear in public, check out Going Underground, blog of my friend Annie Mole (linked in my sidebar). The blog is all about the London Underground, but every Friday she features the Tube Fashion Police… some outfits seen on the London Underground Tube that range from laughable to downright vile. Annie especially hates metallic bags and Uggs boots. 😉
I myself love handbags as you know and had a veritable “Firenze Frenzy” when I was in Florence (see my May 2005 archive) Which begged the question…Art in Florence…what art… ? it is all about the HANDBAG!!!!
In any event, what about putting some of your ugglies on eBay? One person’s ugh is another person’s ahhhhhhhhhh.
I’ll definitely check out Annie’s blog for her Tube patrol. Sounds like fun. Anyone else who wants to check it out can follow the link to Kris’ blog on my side bar or through her linked name in the comment field.
Ooooh. I so want to go to Florence. Miss Coach and I went to Italy. Regretfully, we never made it to Florence though.
You must return and go to Florence. My friend and I died and went to heaven with all the wonderful handbag stores. The one I ended up buying from has their factory outside Florence and have been making handbags for five generations! Florence rocks. Oh yeah, and the food was good too!
Lisa.. check out her 11/10 post. She is on vacation now but that post has her last fashion victims photos…http://www.london-underground.blogspot.com/// Be sure to read the comments, they are a riot.
All the fashion victims photos she’s ever posted are liked too.
If you click on the entire flickr set, prepare to be highly alarmed! The things people wear in public truly astound!!
oops, I meant linked. Not “liked.” 😉 But they are “liked” too…
Cool blog. I have to admit I checked Annie’s archive to see how far back she went. I was relieved she wasn’t blogging back in 2001 when I was riding the Tube as a tourist. Whew.
I was warned by friends in advance before I went to England what fashion attire screamed not only tourist but AMERICAN tourist, and avoided same.
